What do the washing symbols on labels mean?

Each garment includes a series of symbols on its label that indicate how to wash, dry, or iron it correctly. Although they are present on almost all clothing, we don't always know what they mean.

Learning to interpret them will help you avoid common errors such as shrinkage, discoloration, or fabric damage.

For Abanderado garments, these are the most common care symbols you'll find on their labels:

  • Machine wash at a maximum of 40 °C

  • Machine wash at a maximum of 30 °C

  • Do not use bleach

  • Do not use a dryer

  • Do not iron

  • Iron at a maximum of 110°C

  • Iron at a maximum of 150 °C

  • No dry cleaning
